Walls Do Tell Stories at McSorleys, New York.

G’Day,

Hope all is well in your world.

Words have been a scarce commodity in my posts recently, due in the main to the hectic pace at ground level as I am sure the images will reveal.

The workshop in New Jersey was a very mellow and satisfying experience for me, I trust the same might be said by the participants.

From Watchung, New Jersey I traveled down to Point Pleasant Beach and caught with Jamie a good friend and a dedicated surfer.

You have to be dedicated to surf in New Jersey, even in summer I wore a 3mm steamer and booties.

It was heaps of fun and we got wet twice in the short time I was there.

More images from this part of the trip and Bruce Springsteen’s old stomping ground will be posted over the next few days.

In the meantime here or some images of New York as and after the sun sets.

Kind Regards,

Alan

PS.

The beer at McSorley’s was delicious and eminently consumable

Purportedly the oldest surviving bar in New York

Dark or Light, a very special brew indeed

The only way out, aged timbers tell many stories

  1. Having Alan come out to New Jersey was a true gift… and “heaps of fun.” We managed to balance work and play quite well. We toured New York City, had a few suds at McSorley’s, and then on to a great Mexican dinner in Greenwich Village. We had a fabulous time “people watching” at the ever-entertaining Colorado Cafe in Watchung, New Jersey.

Alan presented a fascinating and eye opening seminar on the TJM Classics. It was more than your typical “Acu-tainment” workshop. There was concrete intruductory theory and useful practical applications – a few of which I took right back to my clinic on the following Monday.

Thank you Alan for taking the time to come to our little corner of the globe, and sharing your knowledge. We loved having you and learned much!
