Pre and Post Natal Care with Traditional Acupuncture

img2007-12-22-175004edit.jpgA very special present for Steve, Jackie and big brother Jarvis, one Austin presented himself to the world last Thursday.

This is the same Austin that did his best to be born prematurely mid November.

‘ Jackie had experienced Braxton Hicks contractions and severe bleeding five weeks premature to the expected birth date of her 2nd child‚Ķ‚Ķ‚Ķ‚Ķ‚Ķ‚Ķ‚Ķ‚Ķ‚Ķ‚Ķ. ‘

I treated Jackie in hospital two days after the birth of Austin to ‘charge her batteries’, supporting her efforts to return home before Christmas.

In transit to my son-in-law’s parents home on Christmas night I was passing and subsequently visited Jackie, Steve, Jarvis and Austin.

As a result Jackie received a more thorough treatment including related back points to soothe post natal her exhaustion and headaches.

I also caught up with Jarvis, Austin’s 4 year old brother, giving him a constitutional liver deficient acupuncture treatment ( Liv.8 ‚Äì Ki.10) and recycled some yang energy from yangming and shaoyang levels (shunt St44, LI.3, GB.41) similar to the treatment that has helped to moderate his allergic responses and soothe his yang temperament significantly for the last three years.

It was a real treat for me to see the family chilled out in their home theater watching an Walt Disney animated feature that starred a koala bear, a lion and a whole heap of easily lead wildebeest.

Puuurrrffect!

Today I begin editing some of the video footage that I’ve taken over the past couple of months in an effort to produce clinically relevant audiovisual posts that directly reflect Traditional Acupuncture as practiced in my clinic.

Once again this is an entirely new venture for me and as with the BLOG it will take a little time before I achieve any level of competency, please be patient as I refine and develop my capacity to deliver concise and meaningful presentations centered on the practice of Traditional Acupuncture.

Hope you have a good time for a long time,

Alan
