Alan
This blog is my humble contribution towards a more practical and clinically biased approach to the study and practice of traditional acupuncture in an increasingly sanitized 21st century.
It has come about as a result of this practitioner’s passionate desire to see some of the human-being-ness from which this incredibly diverse and clinically potent medical art sprang, preserved.
I am excited about the possibilities of the audio and visual medium as a practically relevant and clinically applicable educational tool.
I will be introducing this medium more and more as time goes by and my IT/AV skills develop.
I want to give those willing and interested an opportunity to refine and develop their practice of traditional acupuncture on a consistent basis and provide a platform through which we can communicate with colleagues globally.
Video taped clinical case histories should provide a unique opportunity to gain some extremely valuable insights into the practical application of traditional acupuncture.
I will do my best to maintain a healthy clinical bias in all content.
I am not willing to prove or disprove anything, in the context of this blog that would be a spurious waste of valuable time.
This blog and the forthcoming website will maintain a focus on practical skills, clinically relevant theory and most importantly, clinical outcomes.
My IT learning curve is virtually vertical, there will be errors and I will make some mistakes, I apologize in advance and ask that you greet such occasions with a wry smile, knowing that it could well be you in the hot seat.
You are welcome to accompany me on a virtual journey into the clinical heart of a traditional acupuncture practice in the 21st Century.
I am grateful to practice a traditional medicine in which the underlying principles are as clinically viable today, as at their origin, at least 2000 years before the birth of Christ.
‘The learning is in the doing!’
All the best in study and practice and don’t forget, you have thousands of years of clinical history on your side.
Alan
